Loan Period: Books, Audiobooks, Music CDs, Story Sacks – 14 days
Popular movie DVDs – 3 days
Non-fiction DVDs – 7 days .

Renewals:  Library materials may be renewed with the exception of items on hold for other patrons.

Library Fines:Books, Audio books and Music CDs – 10¢ per day
DVDs – $1.00 per day,

Library Cards:  Residents of Hemphill County may receive a free library card.  Proof of current address and photo ID is required.  Children under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian’s signature.  Children must be 3 years old to receive a library card.  Cards must be presented when checking out any material.  A card issued in Hemphill County is honored in most public libraries in the Texas Panhandle. There is a $3.00 fee to replace lost cards.

Fax:   Sending – $1.00 per page.  Receiving – 20¢ per page. The fee for international faxes shall be $15.00 for the first page with an additional $1.00 charge for each additional page.

Flash Drive: (4GB) $6.00

Collections: Electronic Databases, books, magazines, newspapers, large-print books, DVDs, music CD’s, Spanish language materials, microfilm, audiobooks, genealogy & local history collection, Atlas,  **Also available… photocopier, typewriter, computers-PC’s with Excel, MS Publisher, Internet Wireless connection for Laptops.

Computer Rules: 1)  No illegal activities – includes viewing pornographic materials, piracy, and copyright infringement.    2)  30 minutes limit at a time (if there is a waiting line)  3)  1 Hour limit per day  4) No chat rooms or streaming videos  5) Do not turn computer On or Off  6)  Sound must stay turned off  7)  If rules are not followed, computer privileges will be lost.
